Was watching this crappy show earlier this evening. Show revolves around an evil female lead and 3 brothers. Basically the female lead is a scheming woman who will stop at nothing to achieve what she wants. Raped by the 2nd brother, snatched and ensnarled the eldest brother from the arms of her sister, and eventually marrying the youngest brother. Ahh ...
The guy knows she has her own agenda for marrying him and doesn't love him. He is happy enough that he is able to love and cherish her (stupid dork anyway) and said something about 'Love will never be perfect'. That set me thinking. Is it really so- that love is never perfect?
The passage of time has indeed eroded much of my wide-eyed naivete towards love. I have always wondered if love can stand the test of time in this day and age. Yet on the other hand, I still believe (and hope) that when you find the right person, things will fall into place- and stay that way.
"The path of true love never did run smooth" ~ William Shakespeare. But will be perfect in my eyes - i think.
perfect only while you are still 'in love'
ReplyDeletecorrect. true love wont be smooth going but will be perfect in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteno love then no need to say liao lor.. LOL :P
i'm sure there are other aspects, more tangible, which u can base relationships on: eg-frenship/companionship, support, humour etc...
ReplyDeleteputting all of one's chips on love won't get one very far...
'Perfect' means I wld accept everything (well almost), flaws and all, in the one i love.,
