Anyway, I came across an article today. Apparently, some HR consultancy had projected that that wages would increase by 4 % next year. Amusing... Did I read correctly? 4% increase?
Singapore has seen companies laying off employees, wage cuts and freezes. Some employees have even taken pay cuts voluntarily and I guess most would just be glad to be able to hold on to their jobs.
Princess Ginny's prediction is that unemployment rate would increase by 4 -fold ... :P
