Around midnight in the heart of KL city:
Blue eyed boy: How much to Impiana Hotel?
Cabbie: 10 ringgit
Blue eyed boy: okie!
*proceeds to get in tog with me*
Barely 10 sec into the ride....
Cabbie: *announces* I drop you off somewhere. you have to walk abit.
Blue eyed boy and me: ?????
Cabbie: cos the road to your hotel is very jammed, it will take you half an hour if we take that road.
Blue eyed boy: Then you take us using another road lah? *patience level 9 on a scale of 10*.
Me: *very pissed off*... *thinking wtf*.... *refraining from muttering expletives*
Cabbie: *still trying his luck* you walk a bit...
Me: *snaps* then let's get down now! *hand on door handle preparing to get out*
Blue eyed boy: *patience level dips significantly* then you let us down in front.
Cabbie: ok, i send you to your hotel.
silence for the rest of the journey.... arrived promptly at hotel in 7 minutes.
Well, that's KL for you - no offence to any KL-ians.
i am paying an pre- agreed sum to my destination and yet i have to 'walk abit'?? Cab masquerading as a bus?? i am not taking a bus whereby the bus has designated bus stops for passengers to alight and therefore have to 'walk abit' leh...
honestly, if it had happened in spore, i would have given the cab driver a piece of my mind. and mabe a middle finger or two to cars tailgating me when i am travelling at 160kph. i am royalty okay... :P
